The accommodation is located on its own farm and is completely private with the most beautiful, luxurious swimming pool and fire pit with braai area. The perfect location for family and friends who want to meet each other from Pretoria and Cape Town. The scenery is breathtaking and the hospitality of the owners was immeasurable. We cannot recommend the accommodation more.

After a busy day on the road, Windpoort's nature and silence was an absolute treat. It was a totally different experience to be able to experience the children's (three and seven years old) absolute ecstasy to be able to run outside and discover new adventures in the field. Even our fire for barbecue was started and ready. Would recommend to any travelers.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is on a farm, far from everything and everyone. Perfect for resting, and was nice and clean with all the necessities. Will definitely visit this beautiful farmhouse.
Kitchen has everything needed for cooking, even spice rack. Furniture exquisite and beautiful. Rooms large with great braai area. Pool was great with the heat wave we were riding in. Only suggestion might be extra shower. We were 6 adults which made things a bit tricky in the morning.

Sune (the owner) sent me a message a day before to explain everything. When we arrived she was already waiting for us (even though she lives on the neighboring farm), quickly explained everything and then left us alone. The house is very nice, the braai area, living room, everything. One of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen in my life. The bobotie was perfect. One comment is that the bed is very hard, but that's a personal preference, otherwise if you want to relax and do nothing this is the perfect place.
The accommodation was very neat and comfortable and the hostess was very helpful and friendly. Just a pity about the 15 km dirt road to the farm, but it does not detract from the extensive Karoo experience.

The hostess waited for us kindly and explained everything nicely. Nice outdoor barbecue area with wood provided. It was quiet and peaceful at the guest house, although there were hundreds of birds chatting in the large eucalyptus trees before the sun slipped behind the mountain. When we arrived, the wood was already packed in the braai area and we could immediately light a fire to braai. Suné was so friendly from our first call and made us feel welcome. The accommodation was good and tidy. Sorry the bathroom is in one bedroom and the other guests have to go through the bedroom to use the bathroom. There is also 16 km of dirt road, although the road was nice and freshly scraped. Will stay there again.
A warm welcome by the owner to a simple, but very well equipped little cottage. Set in a beautiful garden with swimming pool, we enjoyed sun downers before lighting our braai which had already been set. Fans in the rooms helped until the dreaded load shedding, but then we could open the mosquito protected door and window for a breeze. A really super stay! Will definitely return and perhaps with a family group and our mountain bikes. An honesty bar and deep freeze with packs of meat to purchase was another pleasant surprise, and I'm sure much appreciated by people who decide to braai at the last minute.

Lovely large farmhouse in the karoo. Swimming pool offers a leisurely experience, the barbecue fire was already packed, cushions on the outdoor chairs and the beautiful sunset over the karoo hills is just a feast for the eyes. It is the ideal overnight stay if you want to switch off from city life and noise. Suné was very friendly and made sure that everything was right when we got there. The accommodation was nice with everything we needed.

After a comfortable 15 km dirt road we were received by the very friendly and pleasant owner. She showed us everything about the house that was needed. Everything worked, was clean and tidy, even the fire for our barbecue in the evening was already packed with enough extra wood. The pool was spotless. The garden and lawn neat and we sat outside and visited until late. A real oasis in the Karoo. This was for sure one of my best experiences. The only downside, (which we didn't experience as a problem) is that the shower is in the master bedroom bathroom. The other room does have a toilet and a sink.

We recently had a one night stay on our way to Cape Town. Our hosts were incredible kind and warmly welcomed us to this incredibly comfortable and beautiful home. We were expecting it to be functional and it was so much more. It is worth staying for more than just one night to fully enjoy the luxury and comfort, but sadly we travelled again the next day. I would really recommend this accommodation to anyone as great value for money and sheer luxury on the long drive from JHBto CT.

It's a beautiful old farmhouse that is beautifully furnished. There is the greenest grass and it's wonderful to walk barefoot on it. The children had a great time playing with the cats and cooling off in the pool. There are large turtles, sheep and game on the farm and the most beautiful sunsets. Definitely an asset to the Karoo. It would make a lovely holiday home in the winter.

My wife and I enjoyed the peaceful guest house (farmhouse) for two nights. We have never experienced such a quiet getaway. The accommodation is ideal for one night or even a week or longer. We experienced different wildlife, of which 3 kudu cows were the highlight. You can only take your clothes and food with you, everything is provided.
Beautiful woman, Suné, who opened and closed for us, comfortably found everything and slept safely and peacefully. Lovely morning swim before we drove on. Thank you very much for everything, next time we will stay a little longer. Blessings to you.

Windpoort is situated in Britstown in the Karoo. We're a family of five and we had a lovely, restful stay in the stylish guest house. Everything was just perfect. The large house with two bedrooms, two toilets, larger than life lounge area and immaculate decor. I especially loved the well maintained garden, swimming pool and the braai area. It was also good to know that the surrounding area was being monitored via CCTV; thus adding to our sense of security. The host was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Windpoort Country Guest House!
